In a device for converting a rotary movement of a driver (24) arranged eccentrically about an axis of rotation into a linear movement of a slide (3), with a secured guidance during the linear movement and defined end position, the driver, designed as guide roller (24) or the like, engages, for linear guidance of the slide (3), into a guide channel (23) formed from elements (21,22) connected to the slide (3). When the slide end position is reached, however, the driver (24) leaves said guide channel (23). On the slide (3) there are provided two running rollers (14,15) or similar stops which, in the end positions of the slide (3), slide and bear against a rail piece (32,33) in each case, or similar reference edges, the rail pieces (32,33) releasing the runners (14,15) during the linear guidance of the slide (3), while maintaining a clearance (b). <IMAGE>
