A diagnosis and therapy device comprises a suction head connected to a pump device and having an approximately circular suction orifice for application on to the surface of the human skin. For the selective production of petechiae while avoiding the side effects of conventional suction-massaging devices which, moreover, can produce virtually no petechiae, it is proposed that a distribution plate (14) having the form of a circular disc be arranged in the region of the suction orifice (10) so as to partially cover the latter. <IMAGE>
