Recording amplifiers for recording broadband signals onto magnetic tape are increasingly arranged on the head wheels rotating at high speed. On units having a multiplicity of parallel channels, it is therefore of particular significance that the amplifier arrangements comprise only a few components, in order that the necessary multiplicity of such circuit arrangements can be accommodated on the rotating head wheel disc. In the case of the present circuit arrangement, in which signals are fed from a voltage source with a defined output resistance via a rotating transformer, a differential amplifier contains a first and a second transistor, the emitters of which are interconnected and, by means of a first resistor, are at a first fixed potential, and the base terminals of which are connected via a second resistor and are in each case connected to a winding end of the rotor winding of the rotating transformer. Furthermore, the collector terminals are connected to the winding of a recording head, the centre tap of which is at a third fixed potential, while the centre tap of the rotor winding is at a second fixed potential.
