Trailing-mounted drilling device, comprising a mechanically welded chassis 1 which rests on three wheels 2 and 3, and is provided with four stabilisers 4 providing the apparatus with stability when drilling. According to the present invention, the motor 6, coupled to a speed reducer 7 via pulleys 8 and 9, themselves connected by belts 10, moves the auger 11 in rotation. All this is fixed to a carriage 14, sliding along the slideway 15, secured by the steel cable 24 which passes over the pulleys 25 and 26 and a geared-down manual winch 16. <IMAGE>
