The invention relates to a device for opening and closing window-like or door-like openings in sheet-metal booths surrounding machine tools, consisting of a lifting gate with at least two laterally guided gate elements disposed vertically one above the other in the closed position and at least partly overlapping in the open position, for the vertical movement of which drives are provided. The characterising feature of the invention is that: a) fastened to both sides of each gate element (3a, 3b) in the closed position is one pneumatic spring (5) each pressing it into the open position, b) the force of the pneumatic spring (5) is matched to the mass of the gate element (3a, 3b) in such a way that only a small force is necessary to move the gate elements (3a, 3b), c) on both sides of the gate elements (3a, 3b), one drive (6) each is fastened to the lowermost gate element (3a) in the closed position, upon the actuation of which drive (6) the gate elements (3a, 3b) can be moved into the closed position, d) the top gate elements (3b) in the closed position have drivers (7) at the bottom for driving by the bottom gate elements (3a). <IMAGE> |
