The fixed contacts (11) comprising the two series-coupled break positions are connected by a bridge (21) supported by a movable contact driver (23). The bridge is movable at right-angles to its longitudinal direction between 'on' and 'off' positions. Connected to each break position are switch-off plate groups (31) comprising parallel plates (32), and between the groups is a commutation plate (40), the ends of which extend along one side of each group. - The end parts of the commutation plate are U or V-shaped, with an inner arm (42) extending from a central part (41) towards the respective break point. This arm evolves via a bottom part (43) into an outer arm (44) extending away from the break point. The switch-off plate groups each comprise a plastic holder (33) with a fixing track and insulation and at least one outlet aperture for light arc gas. (Provisional basic advised week 8944)(1/13) |
