<p>The present invention relates to a method and to a machine for grouping containers. The method is used for filling trays (b) with containers (R), such as pots or the like, entrained side-by-side by a first conveyor (14) and is characterised in that the said containers are gathered into a group of n articles at the same level, in that a tray (b), initially stationary before loading with the said group, is positioned at the downstream end of the first conveyor (14) and in the path of this group, and in that the said group is moved as a whole in order to be brought in line with the stationary tray by a movement at the said level, until the group of containers encounters the bottom and/or the walls of the tray, causing the latter to move towards a second conveyor (60) for discharge of the loaded tray. <IMAGE></p> |
