The sintered monolithic ceramic body (1) of the electrical multilayer component has cavities (2, 3) which are open alternately from layer to layer towards mutually opposite end faces (4, 5) and are open towards the side surfaces (6, 7) over their complete length; these cavities (2, 3) contain ceramic particles (8), distributed throughout the volume, as supporting elements and are completely filled with a metal or a metal alloy whose melting temperatures are considerably lower than the sintering temperature of the ceramic body (1) and which have the property of wetting the surfaces of the ceramic layers (9, 10) in the cavities (2, 3) when in the liquid state; on the end faces (4, 5) there are contained contact layers which act as a seal for the molten metal: furthermore, spaces which are free of metal are provided in the cavities (2, 3) on the side faces (6, 7). …<IMAGE>… |
