The present invention relates to a process for the production of single- or multiwalled elements which comprise fusible materials, in particular glass, metal or ceramic elements, which have either a complex and/or flanged spatial configuration, or in which precise internal mould dimensions are prespecified. In order to be able to produce such single- or multiwalled elements in the simplest possible manner, the present invention proposes immersing an appropriately shaped cast into a melt of the material of the elements to be produced, soldifying the layer formed on the cast after removal of the cast from the melt, and finally removing the cast leaving the desired single- or multiwalled element.
