PURPOSE:To cause defect on a rubber formed object not to occur, even when said object is brought in contact with transferring rollers, etc. by a method in which ultraviolet ray is radiated on the surface of the extruded unvulcanized rubber object, whereby the outer surface of the unvulcanized rubber formed object is cured, and after the radiation of ultraviolet ray, the unvulcanized rubber formed object is continuously vulcanized. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized rubber hose 2 extruded from an extruder 1 is transferred to a next ultraviolet ray radiating device 3 by using a transferring roller 7. The unvulcanized rubber hose 2 passes through the almost center of a cylindrical jacket 8, and the ultraviolet ray is radiated on the outer surface of the unvulcanized rubber hose 2 in the vertical direction to the direction in which the hose is extruded, from the directions of left and right two points of two mercury lamps, thereby curing the outer surface of said hose. Next, the unvulcanized rubber hose 4 transported from the ultraviolet ray radiating device 3, is transported into a prescribed vulcanization device and is vulcanized. Since the surface of a produced rubber hose has been cured by ultraviolet ray before vulcanization, even when the hose is brought in contact with the transferring rollers 7a, 7b used in the early stage of vulcanization, defects on its surface do not occur. |
