The invention relates to inflatable envelopes intended for the flotation of underwater craft having inherent negative buoyancy. It involves placing in an annular receptable of the body of the craft a membrane which, when folded up, does not project beyond the limits of this body. Once inflated, this membrane (102) assumes the form of a torus surrounding the body (100) of the craft. Inflation of this torus is limited by non-extendable flexible wires (109) integrated radially in the membrane. It makes it possible to brake and recover torpedoes.

|
