It has hitherto not been possible to accommodate bottles in passenger cars securely and in a practical manner. If the driver of a vehicle braked the bottle either rolled off the seat or off the tray and this also happened when cornering. This is avoided by the new holding device. By attaching the bottle to the windscreen by means of a sucker (nipple) the bottle is positioned in an optimum manner. The driver and the passenger can comfortably reach the bottle at any time. The bottle can also be removed or attached and opened with one hand. The holding device can be attached to any bottle with a screw-cap closure. The sucker (item 1) or the knurled screw (item 3) is pressed through the lid with the point. From the inner side of the lid either the knurled nut (items 2 + 5) or the knurled screw (items 3 + 7) are pushed through the previously made hole and the sucker is attached from the outer face or surface of the screw-cap closure. The holding device is hence (items 9 + 10) attached quickly every time it is reused. A further advantage is that the holding device can be used time and again for any bottle with a screw-cap closure, and when not in use always has a practical storage place in the corner of the windscreen. If plastic bottles have not been used the cooling jacket can be used as additional protection. Additional safety arises by virtue of the fact that in a strong impact the sucker is detached and hence injury on the bottle ... Original abstract incomplete. <IMAGE>
