A drilling tool for making holes in workpiece boards having printed circuits is described, which saves having to equip solid carbide twist drills, used for this purpose, with a distance ring. A distance ring of this type is normally required in order to exactly position the solid carbide twist drill in both the magazine and the drilling spindle during tool changes to be carried out automatically. This is achieved by the distance ring being part of a shank-like drill holder, in the front end of which an axial bore for mounting and also means for securing the drill clamping shank are arranged.
