In a scent dispenser with a heating device a scent metering device arranged in the region of the heating device at least makes faulty use of the scent and any residues extremely difficult, while simultaneously a scent amount that meets the requirements for intermittent use and is easy to dispose of is supplied to the heating device. Moreover, the invention permits troublefree disposal of the scent or evaporation residue.
