A catalyser arrangement for petrol motors operated at air/fuel ratios μ < 1, in particular boat motors, is subdivided into a reduction section (16) located upstream in the exhaust gas train and a coaxially connected oxidation section (12) located downstream. An intermediate space (17) is arranged between the reduction section (16) and the oxidation section (12). Both catalyser sections are surrounded by a preferably cylindrical water-cooled housing (3) which has a downstream secondary air intake (8) to which a secondary air fan (27) can be connected. The secondary air separates the very hot catalyser from the double-walled water-cooled housing (3) and, in particular, flows around the oxidation section (12) in countercourrent to the preheated air, and is therefore preheated before passing through openings (18) in the intermediate space into the oxidation section (12). The catalyser is lodged in a cartridge (1) mounted in wire pressure rings (19, 20) in the catalyser housing (3).
|
