This plate 1 comprises on its underside 4 two circular recesses 9, 10, into each of which the head 47 of a support block 40, 41 fits easily. At the centre of each recess an elastic annular end piece 11, 12 projects, capable of being inserted into a bore 52, with which each block head is provided, and in this way securing the plate 1 to the corresponding block head. The recesses 9, 10 have axes 13, 13' separated by a distance at least equal to half the sum of the lengths of the bases 46' of the blocks 40, 41, each of the said axes 13 or 13' also being separated from the nearest end 5 or 6 of the plate by a distance at least equal to half the length of the base 46' of the corresponding block 40 or 41. The cut slab 43, which is laid between the last whole small slab 44 and the low wall 45, rests completely on the plate 1. <IMAGE>
