<p>A writing device using volatile ink, aqueous ink or the like comprises a cylindrical body (12), a writing unit (14) disposed at the lower surface of the body (12), and a cylindrical closing member (18) rotatably and vertically movably attached to the lower end of the body (12). The writing unit (14) includes an ink tank and a pen tip (17) attached to the ink tank. The closing member (18) is provided at its lower surface with a cap unit (14) for hermetically covering the pen tip (17) and with a through-hole (20) through which the pen tip can be vertically extended. Rotation and vertical movement of the closing member (18) with respect to the body (12) selectively provides two states, i.e., one state where the pen tip (17) is hermetically covered with the cap unit (14), and another state where the pen tip (17) projects from the pen-tip hole (20). Thus, the manipulation of the writing device is simple, and there is no possibility that ink is erroneously evaporated or the cap is lost. Since the pen tip (17) is hermetically covered with the cap unit (24), the body inside does not require a complicate sealing structure.</p> |
