PURPOSE:To provide simple construction by rotating a grinding wheel with high speed by a first motor, moving forward and backward the grinding wheel and pivoting a swing lever through a worm gear train and cam mechanism and reciprocatingly rotating objects to be worked by a second motor. CONSTITUTION:A second motor 96 repeats the reciprocating rotation of a predetermined angle to pivot reciprocatingly an optical fiber 2 fixed to a chuck 76 through a pulley 98, round belt 99 and pulley 80. On the other hand, a first motor rotates a grinding wheel 12 with high speed through a pulley 29, spline tube 25 and grinding wheel shaft 9, while rotating with reduced speed a cam shaft 36 through a worm gear train to feed/return the grinding wheel 12 through a first cam 31 and slider 4. Also, a second cam fixed to a cam shaft 36 pivots a swing arm 5 to conically grind the working side end face of an optical fiber connector 2 with high accurately. Thus, the construction can be simplified. |
