The exhaust ventilator (2) is fixed into a door or wall on the inside of the room. The ventilator has a frame and a free flexible shut-off damper (5). THe cage has an inlet opening (3) along the inner face and an outlet (4) along the outer upper surface, communicating with the room. Bridges (7) at each end across of the outlet have profiled webs (7a) extending downward. A single central bridge (6) extends across the centre of the opening. Positive internal room pressure causes the damper to lift. The latter deforms under the constraint of the ramps, as the pressure continues to rise. ADVANTAGE - The closing of the ventilator is progressive and not simply open or shut.
