The motor vehicle has a vehicle body (1) enclosing the passenger compartment. In order to be able particularly well to insulate the vibrations and noises caused by the drive assemblies but also transmitted via the running gear, relative to the vehicle body (1), the front section (2) and/or the rear section (3) of the motor vehicle is designed as a chassis sub-frame. The front section (2) or the rear section (3) is, to this end, connected flexibly to the vehicle body (1) via rubber elements (7, 8, 9, 10 or 23, 24, 25, 26). The engine-gearbox unit (4) is supported on the front section (2) via the rubber bearings (11, 12, 13). The rear-axle assembly (6) is likewise flexibly connected to the rear section (3) via the rubber bearings (27). Since the front section (2) and the rear section (3) each have a substantially higher mass than the previously known chassis sub-frames or auxiliary supports, particularly good insulation against vibrations and noises can be achieved without more constructional space or a substantially higher additional weight being required for this purpose. <IMAGE>
