Method for directly setting up telecommunications connections, in particular telephone connections, on workstations or answering stations of multi-user dealing room systems

In multi-user dealing room systems with direct access to a multiplicity of external lines, permanent allocation of a destination telephone number to an external line is intended to be able to be set up in simple fashion. With designated seizure of one of these external lines through simple actuation of an assigned operating element, the permanently allocated destination telephone number is then automatically selected. The destination telephone numbers are allocated to external lines by means of a specific operating procedure in that a line number, a destination designation and a destination telephone number are entered, this information being stored in a row in a main memory of the switching system, which row is assigned to the external line concerned. On completion of this procedure, the destination telephone number is automatically selected when the line is seized by touching or actuating the operating element assigned to this external line. This produces quasi-dedicated circuits, whose sub-areas which are assigned for operation are clearly disposed on a monitor so that operation is significantly simplified.
