In a curved intake pipe a likewise curved plastic half shell is provided, which at its ends bears on the inner wall of the intake pipe on the inside or outside of the curve. Displacement of the half shell transversely to the intake pipe axis results in different intake pipe cross sections and at the same time differing effective intake pipe lengths. In this way the resonance frequency of an intake pipe can be varied over a wide range.
