<p>A method for the continuous chemical precipitation of water, preferably waste water or water for consumption. In this process lime at least is added as a precipitation chemical. In the method precipitated sludge from a completed chemical precipitation process is recycled to the water prior to the precipitation process so that part of its calcium content is reactivated to thereby reduce the need for fresh lime. The result is that the cost of the chemical purification of the water can be reduced.</p> |
