PURPOSE:To reduce influence of achromatizing agent onto a recording material stock and to provide sufficiently high image density when a record is made, by employing at least one specific phenol material as a coloring agent in a leuco coloring layer, i.e. a two color heat-sensitive recording material. CONSTITUTION:A two color heat-sensitive recording material employs at least one compound shown by the formula (where, R1-R4 represent hydrogen atom or alkyl groups having carbon number of 1-4) as a coloring agent in a leuco series coloring layer. In the compounds 2,2-bis(4-hydroxy phenyl)-4-methyl pentane causes no texture fog and produces a two color heat-sensitive recording material having very high hightness. The phenol material, particularly employed as the coloring agent in a low temperature coloring layer, is subjected instantaneously to the function of achromatizing agent when it is heated with high temperature thus providing a uniform and clear high temperature coloring image. |
