PURPOSE:To prevent a camera size from scaling up by arranging an IC card housing device in a space enclosed with a battery chamber and a take-up spool chamber as part of the side wall of a camera main body. CONSTITUTION:The card housing device consisting of an outer cover unit and an inner cover unit is engaged with a lock means to be integrally formed with it, is maintained in the space on the side of the take-up side spool chamber 15 of the camera main body and back of a battery housing chamber 16a, being closed by energizing force of an inner cover spring 14. Around a hinge shaft 6, the outside surface of an outer cover 1 looks like the outside wall of the camera main body. When an IC card is slipped along a tapered part 1n formed on the outer cover 1 from above, it is placed on both side ribs 1d and 1e along both side walls 1a and 1b of the outer cover 1, and its top is regulated by a keep plate 4 to be held at a prescribed position. Thus, the camera can be prevented from scaling up. |
