<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a door lock by arranging an actuating piece in a recess on the front side of a casing in which a ratchet is provided, so that the actuating piece is superposed with the rear surface of the ratchet. CONSTITUTION:A ratchet 3 is engaged with the outer periphery of a latch 2 adapted to be rotated when a striker enters, by the resilient force of a spring 3b, and accordingly, the latch 2 is inhibited from reversing. Further, a projection 8 of an actuating piece 6 is led into a guide hole 7 in the ratchet 3. When an open plate is rotated by manipulating a handle, an abutting piece 11 abuts against an engaging step part 12 so as to push in the actuating piece 6. Further, the projection 8 of the actuating piece 6 rotates the ratchet 3, overcoming the spring 3b so as to release the engagement between it and the latch 2 so as to reverse the latch, thereby it is possible to release the engagement of the striker to release the door lock.</p> |
