The invention proposes a rotation-prevention means for screws, in particular for clamping and adjusting screws in reamers, which prevents inadvertent loosening of a screw, even under the influence of high forces and strong vibrations. For this purpose, at least one elastic element (6) is introduced into the body (2), in which the screw is inserted, such that it enters into frictional engagement with the screw. The elastic element (6) is inserted into a bore which runs essentially parallel to the through-passage hole (1) in the body (2) and intersects the circumference line of a cutout (4) for the screw head. It can also be introduced into a bore (53) which has been made in the base of the cutout (4). Bores (54, 55), which intersect the side wall of the cutout (4) or the transition region between side wall and base of the cutout (4), are also possible. Depending on the case in hand, one or more bores for elastic elements (6) are provided. <IMAGE>
