PURPOSE:To efficiently write and read picture data with a simple constitution by transposing input picture data to output these data to a storage part and transposing output data in the storage part to output these data in accordance with the output of a control means. CONSTITUTION:When picture data is read in, an input data transposing part 3 transposes picture elements with each read line of picture data as the unit and outputs the results to a storage part 1. At the time of read-out, an address exchanging part 4 exchanges addresses of picture data based on the indication of rotation and mirror image, and a read address control part 5 generates an address for read from exchanged addresses, and an address selector part 6 switches the address of picture data and the output of the control part 5 by a read/write signal to read out picture data, and an output data transposing part 8 transposes read picture data in accordance with the output data transposition control part 7 and outputs the results. |
