N-Substituted dichloromaleimides, and anti-bacterial and fungicidal use thereof

New N-substituted dichloromaleimides of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) in which R stands for hydrogen or alkyl Ar stands for optionally substituted aryl, A1 and A2 independently of one another each stand for optionally substituted alkylene and n stands for a number 0 or 1, with the exception of the compound 2-(dichloromaleimido)acetanilide, have been found. These compounds are useful as pesticides, especially as fungicides and bactericides.
