PURPOSE:To make it possible to house a cutter device without generating any void between a shield machine and bedrock by constructing so that the cutter device can be housed into a cylinder of the tip of a skin plate and, at the same time, getting into line with housing of the cutter device in case of a tunnel joining to make forward the shield machine. CONSTITUTION:After reducing an extended tip blade 29 to an original length, a cutter slide jack 34 gets into line with a shield jack 35 by a hydraulic mechanism and a sequencer to drive, while housing a cutter device 11 in a cylinder 15, a shield machine 10 is driven forward so that no void generates between the front of the shield machine 10 and a bedrock with the housing of the cutter device 11. According to the constitution, the surface of a facing can be always held by the cutter device, and a breakdown of the bedrock can be prevented to carry out the process of underground connection smoothly. |
