PURPOSE:To increase activity within a limited specific dimension and a battery capacity to realize an overall high performance by devising a layer structure of lithium-aluminum alloy constituting a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:The content of aluminium of a lithium-aluminum alloy constituting a load in a lithium primary battery provided with a positive electrode, a nonaqueous solution and lithium-aluminum alloy as a negative electrode is greater in the layer of a surface opposed to the positive electrode than in any other portions. To say in more detail, the content of aluminum of the layer at the surface side of the negative electrode is 5 - 40wt.%, and it is preferable that the content of aluminium of the lower layer is less than 5wt.% or the lower layer is constituted of a layer of lithium simple. Thereby, it is possible to obtain such effect that the discharge pulse number from the beginning voltage to the end voltage is large and a battery capacity is great and the low temperature characteristic is good. |
