The invention relates to mixtures of a) at least one 3,1-benzoxazine of the formula (SEE FORMULA I) and b) at least one fluorane of the formula (SEE FORMULA II) wherein the radicals of the abovementioned formulae have the meaning given in the description, and their use as colour-forming agents for pressure- and heat-sensitive recording materials and to such recording materials.
