<p>The subject of the present invention is an annular seal (1) for conduits, in particular concrete conduits, of the type intended to be attached inside the female end (2) of a pipe over its cylindrical bearing surface (4), and consisting of a ring (3) of natural or synthetic elastomer, the external diameter D of which is greater than that of the cylindrical bearing surface (4) of the female end (2) and in which is implanted a rigid and flexible core (6) forming an arc of a circle of a length less than the circumference of the internal hole (5) such that the latter has an empty region (7) in the arc of a circle not occupied by the rigid and flexible core (6), at which point the ring (3) retains a more deformable nature and is capable of being bent inwards in the centripetal direction to form a depression (13) enabling the ring (3) to be introduced into the female end (2), and then to be extended elastically and pressed against the cylindrical bearing surface (4) when a pressure is applied to it in the centrifugal direction.
