<p>PURPOSE: To provide easily accessable color frame polarity in order to execute professional video tape edition or its similar purpose by applying color polarity information from a composite synchronizing signal to an encoding/decoding system. CONSTITUTION: The encoding method applies a color polarity coding pulse in order to select a preceding equalizing pulse in a composite synchronizing signal on a selected line in a color television(TV) field and change the preceding equalizing pulse selected so as to discriminate a color TV field having selected color frame polarity. The system for executing the method is provided with a means for applying a line discrmination pulse for discriminating a specific horizontal line including a composite synchronizing signal in one frame of color video information, a means for applying a color polarity coding pulse to a selected position in the discrminated line and a changing means connected so as to receive the color polarity coding pulse and the composite synchronizing signal and acting so as to change the composite synchronizing signal on the discrminated line by the color polarity coding pulse to indicate color frame polarity.</p> |
