A device for the control of the supply of ignition gas to a burner of this type of gas shows, in the gas-supply conduit 3, a restrictor (choke) 6 placed in front of the ignition gas burner, the flow or passage of which is dimensioned in accordance with the minimum demand of the burner. For its evacuation, the air which at the start of an ignition process is in the supply conduit 3 receives, at this stage, a greater charge of gas in order thus to accelerate the ignition process. In accordance with an improvement of said device according to the invention, provision has been made, in the ignition gas supply conduit 3, in front of the restrictor 6, for a bleed connection 48 for a venting conduit 49. This bleed connection 48 may be blocked by means of a diaphragm valve 69/73 controlled by the pressure of the gas in the supply conduit when the ignition gas which follows behind in the supply conduit 3 has displaced the air included in said conduit. <IMAGE>
