A pipe coupling for exhaust systems comprises a clamping ring 2 with an axial opening 4 and outwardly directed flanges 6, 10 which are fixed on the clamping ring on either side of the opening at 8, 12. Means 26 are adapted so as to generate a contracting force for tightening the ring as the opening is made smaller. One flange 10 is designed with a portion 20 which is adapted to the outer profile of the ring and extends over said opening in the ring, so that its fixing point 12 in the clamping ring lies on one side of the opening and the projecting flange part 22 lies on the other side. The clamping ring will in this way cover the region 38 between the two outwardly directed flanges 6, 10. For mounting, the clamping ring is intended to be arranged over end portions of pipe parts which are to be interconnected, and to be clamped firmly around these. <IMAGE> |
