Plastics foam, which sets hard after being applied, is applied by means of a gun which is connected to an aerosol container by an adaptor. The inlet fitting (1) of the gun (2) has a plate (4) which is fitted with a sleeve (19) and sealing washer (5) which are secured by an intermediate piece (6). The intermediate piece has an internal and an external screw thread and has a groove for an additional O-ring (8). A replace bell shaped fitting (11) is screwed on to the external screw thread of the intermediate piece (6). This bell shaped fitting (11) has slits (12) in its periphery to receive the valve carrier (9) which is held in place by a clamping ring (13). USE - Spraying of plastics foam.
