The present application relates to a security system where a security server (16) will remotely monitor a wireless mobile security device (10) for the protection of an automotive vehicle (12) from unauthorized use, tampering and theft, and particularly from being jammed by radio frequency jammers. The security system includes a server (16) and one or more motor vehicle mounted security devices (10), which server (16) and security devices (10) in an active monitoring mode transmit and/or receive signals between one another over a communication network (14). In the event of an irregular break in communication an alarm is triggered. The security devices (10) further include a means for monitoring movement of the vehicle such that in an active monitoring mode, unauthorized movement of the motor vehicle (12) triggers an alarm. |
