摘要

Tablets for the controlled release of flavoxate hydrochloride particularly suitable for high active principle doses are described. The characteristic components of these tablets are: a matrix allowing gradual release of the active principle contained within it, a suitable binder which limits the dimensions of the finished tablet, and an acidifying agent which ensures stability of the active principle with time and improves its release profile by making it independent of the pH.
