PURPOSE:To prevent peeling of magnetic particles from a toner and occurrence of emulsified particles as a by product at the time of producing the toner by using the magnetic particles specified in particle diameter as polymerization nuclei and forming a resin layer containing a colorant on their circumferences. CONSTITUTION:This toner is composed of the magnetic particles, such as Fe-Co ferrite particles, having a particle diameter of 1 - 10mum and the resin layer, such as a polystyrene layer, containing the colorant and the like on there circumferences. The toner can be prepared by feeding a polymerization reactor with a liquid dispersion containing the magnetic particles as the polymerization seed nuclei, an emulsifying agent, a polymerization initiator, and the like, adding a polymerizable monomer, such as styrene, and the colorant, and performing seed polymerization. |
