This device for the continuous production of a paste of active material intended to be used in storage-battery electrodes of the paste type comprises a pump intended to convey a mixing solution containing short fibres to a charging input of a mixer, and a mixer intended to mix the said mixing solution and a powder of active material in order to form therefrom a mixing paste. The pump is of the rotating screw type. The mixer comprises two mixing blades 30, which rotate in the same direction on two shafts 29. The position and the shape of the mixing blades prevents the viscous (muddy) mixed paste from sticking to the blades or adhering to the internal walls of the mixer.
