The subject of the invention is a pocket (mini) calculator for finding anagrams. The pocket calculator comprises data-processing means including: means 5 for, a certain number of letters having been displayed in the form of a so-called "drawn" word, which is drawn either manually on the basis of the alphanumeric keyboard 1 when the said second 9 and third 10 keys have been rendered inoperative by the said first key 11, or automatically in random fashion by manual depressing of one of the said second and third keys 9, 10 when the latter have been rendered operative by depressing the said first key 11, comparing all the letters of the said "word" with the recorded words of the said file, and, finally, displaying a recorded word consisting of the same letters as the said "drawn" word, these two words being anagrams of each other. <IMAGE>
