Cup with tear- off flanged lid - made of specified bilaterally plastic coated cardboard

Bilaterally plastic lined cardboard is used for a cup to hold dairy prods., cosmetics, pharmaceutical prepns. or chemicals and has a tear-off lid. The ring flange of the cup carries a three-layer lid of a plastic foil closure, a ring of plastic lined cardboard which splits up easily when torn off, and a disc of the same material. Pref. the lid (1) has a covering disc (2), a ring (3) and a closure foil (4) which are fully welded to each other. The parts (2,3) are made of plastic lined cardboard of the grade of 80 g/sq. m PE-24+14 g/sq.m. The thicker PE layer lies downward and the cardboard (9) splits readily along the line (10) when torn. The cup itself (6) is made of the grade 150-235 g/sq.m PE 24+1 g/sq. m. ADVANTAGE - This gives an easy start to the tear-off procedure and facilitates the access.
