CONSTITUTION: Since one end of the cord 36 is fitted to the cord wheel 68, and the other end to the weight receiving base 28, the movement of the cam member 94 not to touch the cord 36 generates a certain resistance. If it is desired to generate a maximum resistance in the middle of motion cycle at 120 deg. of the motion range, moving the cam member 94 along the cord guiding groove 70 makes the maximum thickness of the cam member 94 corresponding to the 60 deg. point in the motion cycle. If it is desired to generate the maximum resistance at the end of the period, the point of maximizing the thickness of the cam member 94 is likely positioned to 120 deg. from the contact point 92.
