FIELD: technological processes; chemistry.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a coating composition, as well as to a method for use thereof. Composition contains (a) an isocyanate-functional prepolymer, obtained by reacting polyisocyanate and tricyclodecane-containing polyester polyol, and (b) a blocked amine curing agent. Amount of reagents for producing isocyanate-functional prepolymer are such that ratio of NCO:OH is greater than 5:1. Method of using said coating composition includes application of composition onto a pre-coated surface.EFFECT: coatings obtained using said composition are suitable for various applications, including aerospace sector, and have such characteristics as wear resistance and resistance to liquids, and also have a long application window.17 cl, 10 tbl, 7 ex
