Propulsion unit for log rafts - incorporates pontoon with central shaft to locate steerable out drive

The pontoon (1) has a circular- or polygonal shape. A central shaft through the hull locates the steerable outdrive (2). A steering wheel (3) on the top of the outdrive support frame enables the crew to direct the thrust. The raft is assembled around the pontoon. The pontoon has fittings around its hull to assemble the raft. The outdrive is protected by a surrounding frame. The top mounted steering wheel is fitted directly to the pivot axis of the support.
