摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a device for gas cooling of the winding overhang region of rotor windings (4) of dynamo-electric machines, the winding overhang region having winding overhang cooling ducts (9) which are arranged on the coil longitudinal sides (8) running axially outside the rotor body (1). In order to increase the cooling gas flow and, in particular, in order to improve the cooling of the rotor windings (4) in the inlet region of the winding slots (3), outlet ducts (16, 17) are proposed alternatively or in addition, which are formed by cut-outs in the conductor elements. These cut-outs preferably run laterally along a portion of the conductor elements and merge into radial cut-outs which conduct the cooling gas to the top of the slot closure wedges (7) through suitable openings in the insulating material shim (5) and in the slot closure wedge (7). The increased cooling in the transition region (20) has no adverse effect on the rest of the cooling systems of the rotor according to the prior art. <IMAGE></p>
