The toothed belt drive contains a cog-wheel (2) which has a thicker (4) in the base of each gap (3). The toothed belt (1) has a depression (6) in each tooth tip. The distance 'a' between two points (P) of each bump at the same radial height 'h', in the gap-bases of the sprocket is less than the distance 'b' between the two corresponding points (Q) at the same radial height (H) on each side of each depression on the tooth tip of the toothed belt (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - The noise of the toothed belt drive is reduced.
