PURPOSE:To exhibit a sufficient density and obtain a fast recording with a low energy by incorporating one or more kinds of specific pyrazolone azomethine dyes. CONSTITUTION:A pyrazolone azomethine dye shown by a general formula (I) is used as a magenta component singly or in combination with the other magenta component, as required. The dye may be mixed with appropriate resin, solvent, and the like to serve as a recording ink. A transfer sheet is made in such a manner as a dye ink is applied on a transfer substrate. In the formula (I), X represents hydrogen atom, unsubstd. or substd. alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, unsubstd. or substd. aryl, or substd. amide; Y represents hydrogen atom, or unsubstd. or substd. aryl; R<1>, R<2> independently represent unsubstd. or substd. alkyl, aralkyl, or unsubstd. or substd. aryl; and R<3>, R<4> independently represent hydrogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy, or halogen atom. |
