PURPOSE:To make an electrode plate compact and light and prevent falling and fine mudiness of the active material by forming a cellular lead layer formed on an electrode substrate with reduction precipitation to manufacture an electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:A frame 4 comprising an electrode substrate 3 is horizontally located in the dilute sulfuric acid solution 1, and lead dioxide particles 2 are diffused in the dilude sulfuric acid solution 2, and while electric feeding is performed between an electrode substrate 3 as cathode and the opposite electrode thereof as anode, and a cellular lead layer 5 is reduced and precipitated on the electrode substrate 3, and this celltuar lead layer 5 is formed to manufacture an electrode plate. Since the cellular lead reduced and precipitated on the electrode substrate 3 has the dendrite crystal structure, porosity is enlarged to improve the adsorbing force with the electrode substrate 3. Consequently, a compact electrode plate having the high capacity and of which active material never falls can be obtained. |
